The Flanders Film Festival has announced the nominations for the sixth edition of the World Soundtrack Awards, taking place during the fest in Ghent, Belgium, on Oct. 14, reports Variety.
Danny Elfman (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Alberto Iglesias (The Constant Gardener) and James Newton Howard (King Kong) have been nominated in both the composer and soundtrack categories.
Gongs are presented by the World Soundtrack Academy, founded by the music-themed Flanders fest and a number of film music composers in 2001. Its membership now includes more than 250 leading composers.
