The Hollywood Film Festival Announced Acting Awards

The Hollywood Film Festival will present Forest Whitaker with its actor of the year nod and Derek Luke and Lindsay Lohan with its breakthrough acting awards, reports Variety.

Whitaker currently stars in The Last King of Scotland and recently completed the suspense thriller Vantage Point.

Luke heads the cast in Catch a Fire and was last seen in Glory Roadhan's in the upcoming Bobby, Chapter 27 and Georgia Rule.

Kudos will be presented at the fest's awards ceremony Oct. 23 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
