Bruce McLaren’s life, Formula One racing car legend and the youngest winner of the race, will be adapted to bigscreen, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The biopic will be produced by Barrie Osborne, Oscar-winning producer of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
McLaren overcame a crippling joint problem in childhood to become, at age 22, the youngest winner of a Formula One race, the United States Grand Prix. He died in a car accident only 10 years later, in 1970, amid a record-breaking winning streak for Team McLaren. Matthew Grainger is developing the script.
The best is that the film will use some of McLaren's original cars. The pic looks like to become a classic for McLaren’s and also Formula One fans.
