New Line Cinema has rekindled I Love You Again by setting the scribe team of Bob Hilgenberg and Rob Muir to pen the remake of the 1940 comedy that starred Myrna Loy and William Powell.
Variety says, Sara Risher, Jerry Leider and Richard Waltzer produce.
The broad character comedy revolves around a businessman who realizes he's been suffering from amnesia for seven years, during which he has built a nice life. Before that, he was a crook. Studio first made the deal for the MGM-released original back in 2004, when it set Andrew Bergman to write.
Hilgenberg and Muir are best known for writing Scared Guys, a Sony comedy about agoraphobic roommates who try to cross the street to stop a murder. Pic, which has had a multitude of big stars circling, has now involved Adam Sandler's Happy Madison. Scribes wrote Monsters, Inc. 2 for Walt Disney Pictures. They've also written on the projects Yours, Mine and Ours and Stuck on You. |
