Trio will star in Middle East political thriller Rendition

We reported before that Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon will share the screen for Gavin Hood’s Rendition. According to the Variety, Meryl Streep is joining the cast.
Streep will portray a government official who approves the transfer, the so-called rendition, to a Middle East country of a suspect in a suicide bombing.
The pic also stars Peter Saarsgard and Alan Arkin. Production started last week and . Shooting of Streep’s scenes is expected to begin in Los Angeles in the next few days.
