Hollywood Film Festival Will Honor World Trade Center's Helmer

The Hollywood Film Festival has tapped Oliver Stone to receive its director of the year award, reports Variety.
Kudos will be presented at the event's awards ceremony Oct. 23 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Fest will present a retrospective of Stone's work during the previous two sessions, followed by a panel with the filmmaker and guests. Salvador and Born on the Fourth of July will screen on Oct. 21, Platon and World Trade Center the next day.
Stone won Oscars for directing Born on the Fourth of July and Platon and for writing Midnight Express.
