Yesterday we reported that Spider-Man 3 broke the box office records through Asia and today it’s reported that the pic did the same in Europe.

Variety says, Spidey got the biggest opening-day tallies ever in key markets such as France and Italy.

The third installment of the Sam Raimi-directed series broke Italy's all-time opening-day record with an estimated $4 million. Film has collected $6.8 million in France, beating the mark set by the last pic in the Star Wars franchise.

Spidey earned $4.6 million in Germany and also saw the biggest opening day ever in Belgium and in Egypt.

Pic hits cinemas in U.S. this Friday.
