Easternlight has bought Dog Bite Dog’s sequel

Soi Cheang's follow-up to Dog Bite Dog, Shamo will preem May 17 at Cannes Film Festival.

The story revolves around a psychotic antihero who takes up competitive fighting after being beaten nearly to death at a prison for boys where he's serving time for killing his parents.Pic, which is still in post-production, stars Infernal Affairs’ star Shawn Yue in the lead, along with Masato, Dylan Kuo, Francis Ng, Bruce Leung, Annie Liu and Ryo Ishibashi.

Easternlight has picked up distrib rights for the pic.
