Gurinder Chadha will direct the screen adaptation of Louise Rennison's bestselling book Angus, Thongs & Full-Frontal Snogging.
The film follows the eccentric but irresistible Georgia Nicolson as she struggles with the trauma of being a teenager.
Misunderstood by her parents, who have no comprehension of what she is experiencing, buoyed by the love of her old cat Angus and her tight knit group of friends, the Ace Gang, Georgia strives to achieve her two main desires: 1) to get a gorgeous "sex-god" as her boyfriend; 2) to throw the greatest 15th birthday party ever.
Dark Horizons reports, filming on the Paramount and Nickelodeon production will take place in Brighton, Eastbourne, at London locations, and Ealing Studios.
