Warner Bros.’ the George Miller-directed computer-animated musical comedy-adventure Happy Feet has beaten highly anticipated 21th James franchise Casino Royale at the B.O.
Happy Feet has opened in No. 1 with an estimated $42.3 million and followed by the Daniel Craig starrer Casino Royale with $40.6 million, reports ComingSoon.net. Both movies averaged over $11 thousand per theatre, although Happy Feet had the clear advantage having opened in 400 more theatres.
20th Century Fox’s comedy Borat dropped down to third place with $14.3 million, having grossed $90.5 million after three weekends.
Disney's The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause dropped 51% and placed the fourth place with an additional $8.2 million. The Flushed Away is the fifth movie at the B.O. with an $6.8 million.
