Disturbia helmer D.J. Caruso will direct Shia LaBeouf one more time in the upcoming DreamWorks thriller Eagle Eye.
Based on an original idea by Steven Spielberg and penned by Dan McDermott, the screenplay is being rewritten by Hillary Seitz.
The story concerns on a young slacker whose overachieving twin brother has died mysteriously. When the young man returns home, both he and a single mother find they have been framed as terrorists. Forced to become members of a cell that has plans to carry out a political assassination, they must work together to extricate themselves.
The project was originally planned to be directed by Spielberg but busy with Indiana Jones 4, acclaimed helmer dropped out.
