Variety says, project is an adaptation of the award-winning memoir by Nick Flynn, an aspiring author-turned-case worker for the homeless.
As a teenager, Flynn received letters from his estranged father, a delusional conman and self-proclaimed poet. Story follows Nick and his father, whose self-destruction eventually drives him onto the streets and ultimately into the homeless shelter where his son works.
