Gabriele Muccino, the Italian director made his English directoral debut with the Will Smith starrer The Pursuit of Happy-ness. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Muccino will continue to speak in English with A Little Game Without Consequence for Focus Features.
The movie will be based on the French play by Gerard Sibleyras. It follows a seemingly perfect couple who pretend to break up, only to realize that their friends never liked them as couple to begin with. The play was adapted into a French movie in 2004.
Allan Loeb, who penned Things We Lost in the Fire, wrote the English-language adaptation.
